A Journey That Began in Mavelikkara
Born in Mavelikkara, Alappuzha district, Madhu grew up in a disciplined household, his father, the late Gopalan Nair, was an ex-serviceman, and his mother Chellamma managed the home.
He graduated in English Literature before earning an MBA in Marketing from Siddhartha College—an unusual combination that later proved powerful: communication paired with commercial instinct.
Until the early 1990s, Madhu was active in the building materials industry. In 1992, sensing the untapped potential of overseas recruitment, he made a decisive pivot. That single move would define the next three decades of his career.
From agency Desk to National Healthcare Partner
His first venture, Royal Star Agency in Kochi, laid the foundation. Today, it operates as an authorised and exclusive recruitment agency for Oman’s Ministry of Health, managed by his brother Sadashiva Kurup.
The evolution culminated in Right Robin International Ltd, headquartered in Jibroo, Muscat, with a strong operational base in Kochi.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Madhu personally coordinated chartered flights to ensure medical staff reached Oman without disruption—an operational feat executed when uncertainty was at its peak.

Madhu is married to Rema Devi, formerly a faculty member at SNDP school, Cochin .
Their elder son Manjesh holds a Master’s in Hotel Management , having earlier served with Air India and currently runs a New Zealand Post contracting business in Christchurch. He is married to Anjali, a rank holder in MSW from Sree Sankara College, Kalady, currently working in New Zealand government’s healthcare sector. Their daughter Lakshmi is in Class VI.
Their younger son Vyshakh Nair—an MTech graduate in HSE runs Orange Jacket Adventures, a Kochi-based adventure travel company leading treks and group trips worldwide.
