The Director of Paramount Trading and Contracting LLC, which he runs along with his brother Praveen, Prashant took over the mantle from his father and scripted a tale of growth that transcends borders.
Journey That Began in Vazhuthacaud
Prashant hails from Vazhuthacaud in Thiruvananthapuram, born to Kuttan Satheesan, a civil engineer-turned-NRI entrepreneur, and Dr. Kusum Satheesan, a gynecologist who managed Al Raisi Clinic in Hamriyah for over two decades. Following in his father’s footsteps, he pursued a BE in Electronics at the prestigious BIT Ranchi. After his studies, he embraced entrepreneurship, and there has been no looking back ever since.
What was known as AK Enterprises was rebranded as Paramount Trading and Contracting LLC in 2003. The company specializes in civil and electromechanical construction works, project management, and execution, catering to clients across various domains. Under his leadership, Prashant also established Paramount Power Lounge, a premium gymnasium in Muscat Hills, and KS Realtors Pvt Ltd a developer based in Thiruvanthapuram speacilizing in the sale of premium residential apartments. Furthermore, he operates Paramount Forecourt Services and Solutions, providing MEP and HVAC services. Looking ahead, the firm is planning to establish Paramount Forecourt Engineering Services in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. All businesses are run with the support of his brother, Praveen Satheesan, an engineer by profession.
About Paramount Trading and Contracting LLC
Founded by Mr Kuttan Satheesan in 1989, the company was taken over and expanded by his sons, Prashant and Praveen Satheesan. The company was formed to tap into the immense potential of civil and electromechanical construction needs within the government and corporate sectors in Oman. Over the years, it has earned a reputation as a general contractor adhering to value, quality, service, and customer satisfaction.
The company began modestly as AK Enterprises with small projects in brick and stone. Through the 1990s, it expanded into other areas of construction. By 2004, the enterprise evolved into a full-scale general contracting operation with capabilities in all aspects of residential and commercial construction. Riding the wave of sustained growth, it has forayed into larger and more complex public projects ever since. It is currently registered as an “Excellent Grade” Contractor with the Oman Tender Board & Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
Paramount’s esteemed clientele includes the Royal Court Affairs, Royal Oman Police, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Education, Sultan Qaboos University, and petroleum marketing majors—specifically Al Maha Petroleum Products Marketing Co SAOG, Oman Oil
Marketing Co and Shell Oman Marketing Co. Some of the illustrious projects completed include Resident Card, Vehicle Inspection and Passport Facility Complex at Bahla,AL Qabil ,Rustaq & Mahadah. ROP accommodation complexes at Bahla and Yanqul, First Officers Quarters for MOD, Senior Non-Commissioned Officers quarters for MOD, School for MOE in Ibri, Rustaq & Sidab, DCDF EMS Complex for ROP at Adam & Bahla, Vehicle Inspection facility at Mahdha, Medmar Mosque in Sumail, Directorate General Transport Office in Nizwa, and Royal Convoy Office and Parking at Royal Estate in Seeb to name a few.
Paramount Power Lounge
Located in BLV Tower in Muscat Hills is this gymnasium having state-of-the-art amenities. This specialised fitness centre offers personalised training, including private Pilates and yoga sessions. It is known for its women-friendly environment and it provides the services of global coaches such as Coach Wejdene, who brings 14 years of experience to the facility. There are provisions such as weightlifting, cable machines, treadmill and abdominal training.
Family and Passion
Prashant is an avid golfer who enjoys teeing off on the course whenever he is not constrained by business meetings and site visits. He is married to Remya Gopal, a dental surgeon. Their son Ryan is a Class 8 student at American British Academy while their daughter Rhea is in Class 3.
