This is one expatriate entrepreneur who is born to fly both literally as well as figuratively. Meet Jeffin Jamal, the Chief Executive Officer of Al Maha Metal International LLC, which is at the vanguard of executing high-profile architectural projects in the Sultanate , the UAE and India. This young businessman belongs to the elite club of honchos who sit in the cockpit and hit the skies. An aviation enthusiast, he is also in the process of setting up a flying institute in India.

Journey That Began in N Paravoor

Jeffin was born in North Paravoor in Ernakulam District to T S Jamal, a businessman, and Fouja Jamal, a housewife. Right from school, he nurtured the dream of becoming a pilot. Soon after schooling, he did some online research about aviation and found that the course was way beyond his means in terms of finance. So, he reluctantly let go of his dream and decided to do his Plus Two. After Class XII, he joined Adi Shankara Institute of Engineering and Technology in Kalady where he graduated in Computer Science.

Soon after completing his course, he joined HP in Technopark, Thiruvananthapuram, as a Network Engineer. In search of greener pastures, he moved to Dubai in 2010. From 2011 to 2015, he was in the construction sector as a Sales Manager. In 2015, he came to Muscat and joined Maha Metal International as its CEO and there has been no looking back ever since.

They also undertook the G+11 Building project at Al Nahda in Dubai and the G+9 Building work in Sharjah.

They have successfully delivered several iconic projects across Oman. One of notable achievements is an iconic four-sided glass building in Nizwa, which stands out for its distinctive architectural design and extensive glazing.

The Bousher International School is another landmark project and one of the signature projects of Al Maha Metal International. They are proud to have successfully executed the glazing and façade works for this prestigious project.

They have also successfully completed façade and glazing works for several Royal Oman Police (ROP) projects and police stations, further strengthening our reputation for delivering high-quality, technically demanding, and prestigious projects across Oman.

Giving Wings to His Dreams

Though he began to cruise on the highway of success in Oman, Jeffin’s unfulfilled dream of flying kept pulling at his heartstrings so much so that he decided to go for it. He lost no time in securing a Private Pilot Licence from Orient Flights Mysuru. Not content with that, he now wants to give wings to the ambitions of the young. He is in the process of setting up a Pilot Licencing Academy and Flight Training Organisation in his home state. Preparations are going on at a feverish pace and the hangar at Mysuru Airport is almost complete. Flight training will take place at Mysuru and the Hosur Aerodrome in Tamil Nadu. Capt Vibin, the managing partner, who is one of the best in the field with top reviews in multi-engine instrumentation, and he is the principal and the Chief Flying Instructor.

Passions and Family

Apart from flying, Jeffin is hugely enthusiastic about football, and cricket. In college, he was the skipper of the college team. He is the KMCC joint secretary of Ernakulam District and is the winner of the Chandrika Award for entrepreneurship. His better half is Dr Ashifa Jeffin, a Dentist by profession, who runs two clinics in Kerala. Earlier, she worked at Star Medical Centre in Muscat. Their eldest son Muhammed Reyhan is in Class VII at Indian School Muscat while the youngest child Rayah Fathima is in Class VI in the same school.
