With more than 25 years of experience in audit, tax and advisory, Ignesh M Lazar has worked across India, the UAE and the Sultanate of Oman. His professional journey brings together corporate finance, accounting practice and entrepreneurship. At Al Nuha International, he focuses on practical financial solutions and reliable systems and processes for small and medium-sized businesses, with an emphasis on quality, ethics and timely delivery. Since 2017, his work at Al Nuha International has also built his professional presence among the NRI community in Oman.

Early life and career

Originally from Vyttila, Ernakulam, Ignesh is the son of the late M T Lazar and the late Leela Lazar. He studied Commerce at Bharata Mata College, Thrikkakara, before joining C M Joseph and Associates in Ernakulam in 2001, he pursued Chartered Accountancy studies there, laying the foundation for his career in finance and advisory.

From 2008 to 2010, he worked at RMC Readymix Private Ltd in Kochi. He then served as Finance Manager at Gulf Business Machine Services in the UAE from 2010 to 2013, followed by a Finance Manager role at RDC Readymix Ltd in Chennai. In 2014, he moved to Oman as Finance Head of Dawood Office Furniture. These stints gave him experience in finance leadership across three markets before his move into entrepreneurship.

Leadership at Al Nuha International

In 2017, Ignesh took charge of Al Nuha International along with an Omani partner, moving from corporate finance leadership to building a professional services firm. Starting with one employee, the firm grew to a team of 18, including six Chartered Accountants, supported by IT and other associated professionals.

During this period, he has onboarded more than 30 staff members from different countries and supported their professional development. His leadership approach centres on equal treatment, inclusion and the belief that employees are the foundation of the business. The firm also provides opportunities for people facing challenges, reflecting his commitment to social responsibility.

Ignesh encourages innovative, practical approaches to building robust systems and processes for SMEs. He values high-quality client service and the professional development of his team.

The firm is expanding its ICV advisory, investor-related net-worth valuation and company restructuring services. These areas complement its audit, tax and wider business advisory offering.

It is also developing its IT infrastructure to support clients during audits and to simplify audit, tax and related workflows. The emphasis is on making the flow of information easier to manage while maintaining an organised approach to client assignments.

Interests and family

Outside his professional work, Ignesh enjoys football, cricket, networking and social service. His interest in sport led him to organise the Auditor’s Cup football match in 2025. He is also closely associated with Morth Smooni Jacobite Church.

He is married to Teby Joy K, a Chartered Accountant and Chief Financial Officer of Al Hashar Pharmacy LLC, Muscat. Their sons, Ren Lazar Ignesh (Grade VII) and Rosh John Ignesh (Grade III), study at India School Bousher, Muscat.

The family shares an interest in public speaking, organising cultural events and music. Teby is a member of the Morth Smooni Jacobite Church choir, and both sons have participated in music programmes. Encouraged by his family, Ignesh is learning the keyboard and violin.

Looking ahead, Ignesh’s vision is to build a team of more than 100 employees within the next 10 years, across various sectors of consultancy and business. He aims to expand his ventures, develop skilled teams and create meaningful career opportunities, while helping clients grow sustainably. His goal is to combine business growth with lasting value for employees, clients and the wider community.
