Eurocar Oman began its journey with just four cars in 2015. Since then, the company has grown steadily and now operates an impressive fleet of 180 vehicles across Muscat and Salalah. A Journey That Began in Kottarakkara
Asish Varghese belongs to the Kurakkaran Valiyaveettil family of Kottarakkara in Kollam District, Kerala. He is the son of the late P. A. Varghese Kurakkaran(Dist court kottarakkara)and the late Sosamma Varghese.( Superintendent in the Public Works Department (PWD), Government of Kerala,
A BTech graduate, Asish moved to Oman in 2013. Determined to establish his own enterprise, he entered the car rental industry in 2015 with a modest fleet of four vehicles.
Through hard work, careful planning and a strong focus on customer satisfaction, he gradually expanded the business. Today, Eurocar Oman operates 180 vehicles across Muscat and Salalah and maintains lease agreements with the Khimji Group.
Asish oversees the company’s strategic development, drives its continued expansion and closely monitors its daily operations. His vision is to make Eurocar Oman one of the most reliable, professional and customer-friendly vehicle rental companies in Oman.

Kurakkaran Valiyaveettil Family Heritage
The Kurakkar family, also commonly known as the Kurakkaran Valiyaveettil family, is regarded as a prominent and ancient Syrian Christian family lineage rooted in Kerala, India. Its heritage forms part of the wider Saint Thomas Christian, or Nasrani, tradition of the region.
The family’s lineage and cultural development have been documented in specialised historical accounts. One notable work is Kottarakkarayude Samskarika Parambaryavum Kurakkaran Valiyaveettil Kudumbavum, translated as The Cultural Heritage of Kottarakkara and the Kurakkaran Valiyaveettil Family.
This work records the family’s historical connection with Kottarakkara and its contribution to the cultural heritage of the region.
Passion, Family and Social Commitment
Away from his demanding professional responsibilities, Asish enjoys painting and drawing. He is also involved in charitable initiatives, including providing support to children from economically disadvantaged families.
Asish is married to Deepa Thomas, who holds an MSc in Nursing and is currently a PhD scholar in Nursing. The couple has two children, Hanov Kurakkaran and Hanna Zerah.
His family continues to be an important source of strength, inspiration and encouragement throughout his entrepreneurial journey.
Looking Towards the Future
Asish remains committed to strengthening Eurocar Oman’s presence in the vehicle rental industry and further expanding its services across the Sultanate of Oman.
At the same time, he plans to diversify his business interests and is preparing to enter the cosmetics and beauty sector. With his entrepreneurial spirit, dedication and forward-looking vision, Asish Varghese is ready to explore new opportunities and lead his ventures into the next phase of growth.
