Founded in 2013, Sparkline Associates has grown into a multi-disciplinary provider of IT, software, security, alert systems, ELV solutions and specialised technology products, serving organisations across the Sultanate.
From Manalady to Oman
Jomi’s journey began in Manalady, Alappuzha District, where he was born to Joey Joseph, a merchant in Pulinkunnu, and Mercy Joy, a homemaker.
With an academic background in Electronics and Communication and Software Engineering from AICT, Jomi entered the professional world in 2000, beginning his career with BSNL in Delhi as an IT Support professional.
His early responsibilities covered software, hardware, and networking. During this period, he also developed an interest in web design, laying the foundation for what would become a long and diverse career in technology.
In 2002, he moved to Oman. Like many entrepreneurs who build their careers away from home, his early years in the Sultanate came with challenges, including a period of unemployment. His determination, however, eventually opened new doors.
He joined Bahjet Al Safa as a Sales Manager, where he coordinated IT support activities and handled networking requirements for schools. He later moved to Zubair Telecom as a Customer Support Engineer, a position that became a significant turning point in his professional journey.
Building Expertise Through Experience
At Zubair Telecom, Jomi became closely associated with Queue Management Systems, working with some of Oman’s leading organisations and institutions.
Over the course of his career in this field, he was involved in more than 600 Queue Management System installations. He also worked on video-conferencing projects for major organisations.
These experiences gave him not only technical expertise but also an in-depth understanding of customer requirements, project coordination, and the importance of dependable after-sales support.
The Sparkline Story
In 2013, Jomi took a decisive step by establishing Sparkline Associates.
What began as an entrepreneurial venture has developed into a company offering a broad portfolio of technology and infrastructure solutions. Sparkline today caters to a variety of sectors, including healthcare, banking, government, aviation, education, automotive and commercial enterprises.
The company’s solutions include Queue Management Systems, Nurse Call Systems, Power Quality Analysers, Vibration Alert Systems, data-centre infrastructure, CCTV, IPTV, digital signage, ELV and security solutions, kiosks, outdoor LED displays, smart-home automation, environmental monitoring systems, UPS and electrical installations, and weight and dimensioning solutions.
Sparkline also provides software solutions for HMIS, RFID-based warehouse management and inventory management, helping organisations improve efficiency and streamline their operations.
Its customer portfolio includes organisations such as the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Oman Air, Towell Auto Centre LLC, Middle East Telecommunication, W J Towell Co., Ministry of Higher Education, National Bank of Oman, Al Raffah Hospital, Business International Group, and Zubair Automotive LLC.
Expanding the Technology Portfolio
Sparkline’s expertise extends beyond conventional IT solutions. The company also provides a range of industrial and logistics products, including high-speed doors, dock levellers, scissor lift tables, mobile dock ramps, dock shelters and seals, sectional overhead doors, stacking doors, cold-storage doors, rolling shutters, fire shutters and doors, industrial sliding doors and hangar doors.
This diverse portfolio reflects Jomi’s approach to business: identifying practical requirements in the market and bringing together technology, infrastructure and specialised solutions under one roof.

Outside work, Jomi enjoys singing, reading and travelling. He is associated with the Indian Social Club and the Kottayam Pravasi Group.
He is married and has two children.
