A Journey That Began in Keerikkad
A native of Evoor , Keerikkad in Alappuzha District, Rajeev was born as the son of the late Narendran Pillai and Sarojini Amma. After pursuing  Diploma in Civil Engineering from Firoz Gandhi polytechnic Rae Bareli Uther Pradesh, he started his innings as Lab Assistant at L&T in Delhi. After a short stint, he joined Shyam Construction Company in Navi Mumbai where he worked until 1992.
That year was a turning point in his life as it offered him a chance to move to Muscat to work at Green Triangle LLC, a construction company. As a civil engineer, he gained hands-on experience working on major projects of the ministry. Two years later, Rajeev moved to Saed Al Jabri Contracting Company LLC in Muttrah as Project Engineer and he remained there until 1999.
At the dawn of the millennium, he decided to leverage his expertise and rich experience to don the mantle of an entrepreneur. In 2000, he started his own enterprise Golden Way LLC till 2008 and the company undertook construction work, steel fabrication and carpentry from ministries private clients. Later, he launched Shafaq Al group united LLC .The company deal with structural steel fabrication, pipeline welding, and pre cast concreting for major oil field companies and other reputed companies in Oman
Over the years, he excelled in his pursuits and established other companies as well– Red Horses Trading & Contracting LLC, which is into civil construction and maintenance; Building Products International Co LLC; and Euro steel Fabrications LLCÂ UAE

Passions and Family
His pillar of strength is his wife Sethu Rajeev, a postgraduate in History , and they are blessed with two sons. The eldest, Deva Narayanan, is pursuing doctoral studies at the Hannover in Germany. He also did his postgraduation in Atomic Energy at the Heidelberg University in Germany and was the Gold medallist in BSC from LPU Panjab and younger son Narendradev is final MBBS student in Kerala
An avid reader, and traveller Rajeev is a member of the Vayana Kootam collective of book lovers in Muscat. Back home, he is part of many associations involved in cultural and service activities. While he is not engrossed in reading, one can find him sitting in front of a chessboard, contemplating each move with precision.
