The Sojourn That Began in Eriyad
Mohiyudheen was born in Eriyad in Thrissur district of Kerala to AK Ajeena, a businessman who operated a bus service, and KM Jameela, a homemaker. After schooling, he went to Aligarh Muslim University where he finished his graduation and master’s. Upon completing higher studies, he worked with Oriental Insurance for two years. The year 1983 proved fortuitous for Mohiyudheen because he reached the shores of the Sultanate with his cousin and established an insurance broking firm named Galaxy. The diversification spree began at the onset of the new millennium when he launched the automobile business and later branched into the hydraulic division with three units and two automobile service units. His passion for cuisine reflected in the opening of the restaurant named Spicy Village in 2018.

Through sheer hard work and uncluttered vision, Mohiyudheen has steered his businesses to newer shores and has kept the growth curve on an upward trajectory. He attributes rational thinking, sense of accountability, teamwork, commitment to customers and adherence to quality as the factors that propel growth.
Galaxy Insurance Service has a plethora of comprehensive risk solutions through various policies for General and Life Insurance. It has the right solutions for local marketers as well as blue chip companies.
The firm has diversified into the oilfield industry with a range of products and services. The area of operations includes oil and gas services and supplies, pipes, pumps and valves, drilling equipment, instrumentation, refinery, petrochemical supplies, electrical supplies and oilfield safety supplies.
Galaxy also caters to the construction industry for their daily requirements by dealing with a host of products such as coverall, safety shoes, hard helmets and so on. It also deals with hydraulic hoses and fittings that are essential to mechanical engineering and construction firms. Galaxy boasts exclusive machinery for processes involved such as crimping and cutting and there are experienced professionals too.
The firm also has the expertise to disassemble all diesel fuel injection pumps. Its array of trained technicians is well-equipped in troubleshooting. Galaxy also deals with brake shoe relining and clutch-facing banking on its team of professionals.

Family and Passion
He enjoys the support of his wife, Jasira, a homemaker, and they have two sons and a daughter. The eldest son Dr Mazin is an emergency medicine specialist in the UK. He is married to Zainab Husein and they have two children—Zaki Mazin and a baby daughter Muazaih. Their second son Nizam is a Civil Engineering graduate from the prestigious NIT and has a master’s degree from Britain. He works as a Director in Galaxy and is married to Shyma Umar. They have a son named Emman. Mohiyudheen’s daughter, Shasiya Mariam, the third among his children, has a master’s in engineering from NIT. She is married to Saudi Arabia-based Farris Yunus, planning engineer in Saudi Arabia.
During his student days, Mohiyudheen was active in Shuttle Badminton, Basketball and Volleyball. He was also part of the winning team of the Kerala Associations’ Championship and captained the Basketball team as well.
