Aneesh Kadavil, the esteemed Managing Director of AK Interiors and President of the Indian Cultural & Arts Society in Oman, exemplifies the spirit of entrepreneurial excellence and social commitment. Born and raised in Vengola, Perumbavoor, in Kerala’s Ernakulam district, Mr. Kadavil’s journey from a civil diploma holder specializing in interior designing to a prominent figure in business and community service is nothing short of inspiring.

Mr. Aneesh’s lineage is rooted in dedication and service. His father, KK Shamsudeen, a retired private tax consultant, has been an active member of the Indian National Congress at the block level for five decades. His mother, Rabiya, is a homemaker, embodying the nurturing spirit of their family.

Mr. Aneesh began his illustrious career in 2002 at MVX Constructions in Ernakulam as a site supervisor. His quest for knowledge led him to Noyal College of Interior Design, at Kamalassery, Ernakulam, where he honed his skills. In 2004, he joined MC Designs Kalamassery as a designer, and soon after, he transitioned to the company’s Muscat branch, where he gained invaluable business acumen.

Following stints at Bahwan Furnishings & Trading LLC and Evolution Middle East as chief designer, Mr. Aneesh’s entrepreneurial spirit took flight in 2012 with the launch of Shapes Creative Design, later rebranded as AK Interiors in 2019, to be in line with his business venture AK Holdings in India.

Although a successful entrepreneur, Mr. Aneesh Kadavil’s passion lies elsewhere. Beyond his entrepreneurial success, Mr. Aneesh’s heart beats for social work. A reflection of his father’s legacy, Aneesh was active in the Kerala Students Union and later joined the Youth Congress at his home town and became the unit Secretary Vengola Panchayath of Kunnathunad Taluk of Ernakulam district.

In Oman, Mr. Aneesh took up social work during the 2020 COVID period. It all started when Oman in November 2008 declared its out pass for stranded expatriates. The Indian Embassy in Muscat needed volunteers to help with the long queues of people seeking to secure a pass. He volunteered to write various applications for the laborers whose visa had expired. There were thousands queuing up and the work went on for three days. From then on Mr. Aneesh was associated with the Indian Embassy in their various initiatives.

During the COVID-19 lockdown period he helped in distributing more than 100 food kits to the needy in Muscat, getting patients admitted in hospitals, cremating bodies of COVID victims from Kerala.

As Vice President of Overseas Indian Cultural Congress Mr. Aneesh was instrumental in organizing three flights to India along with National Committee. As a social worker, he was also involved in repatriating more than 50 bodies to Kerala in the last few years.

Mr. Aneesh was also involved in mobilizing volunteers for cleaning shops and houses in the Batinah Governorate after Shaheen cyclonic storm hit the region late on October 3, 2021. Also Served as supporting hand during the flood relief efforts in Kerala 2018 August.

Mr. Aneesh is the joint treasurer of Malabar wing of Indian Social Club. He is also the president of Indian Cultural Arts Society in Oman from 2022. He is also the Muscat area coordinator of Malayalam Mission.

In October 2023, Mr. Aneesh Kadavil was conferred with the GCC Cultural Excellence Award by the Perumbavoor Pravasi Association based in the UAE.

Despite his busy schedule, Mr. Aneesh finds solace in reading and traveling. His wife, Sameera, once a Insurance professional at Burjeel Hospital, now supports him in running their another venture Al Musanada for professional Project LLC, Facilities Management Company. The couple is blessed with two daughters, Fathima Zahra and Maryam Salwa, who study at the Indian School Ghubra. Their eldest, Zahra, exhibited a compassionate spirit by contributing to a noble cause during the pandemic. The ever-busy Aneesh can only spare a few hours for his family as he is always occupied in his social work during weekends.
