Fasalu Rahman, Founder and CEO of UV Water Systems, is a visionary technopreneur transforming Oman’s water treatment landscape. Combining deep expertise in applied electronics and instrumentation with advanced business acumen, he has built a reputation for delivering innovative, sustainable, and customer-focused water solutions. Known for his meticulous attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and strategic thinking, he approaches every challenge with a rare blend of technical mastery and entrepreneurial insight. A native of Ponnani, Malappuram District, Fasalu draws inspiration from his father, Bava MM, a businessman in Oman with over three decades of experience in hotels and food-related businesses. His mother, Suhra Bava, a homemaker, played a formative role in shaping his values and character.
Fasalu completed a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Applied Electronics & Instrumentation from MES College of Engineering, Kuttippuram, earning first-class honours. He further strengthened his technical foundation with a Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Automation and Instrumentation Technology and complemented it with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in International Marketing from Sikkim Manipal University. This combination of engineering and business expertise equips him to tackle complex water treatment challenges while efficiently growing his business.
Professional Journey
Fasalu’s early career honed his technical and leadership skills across multiple engineering and technical roles. He began as an Instrumentation Supervisor at Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, leading a team to maintain and calibrate plant instruments, ensure operational continuity, and prepare detailed maintenance reports. He then worked as a Service Engineer at Arrow Balanced Calibration Services LLC in Abu Dhabi, conducting on-site testing, calibration of pipelines, valves, hydraulic hoses, and manifolds, while customizing solutions based on client requirements. Between 2016 and 2018, he served as a Technical Sales Engineer at Muscat International Oil & Gas LLC, blending technical proficiency with sales and marketing, planning client visits, reviewing requirements, and delivering techno-commercial proposals.
In 2018, leveraging over a decade of experience, Fasalu founded UV Water Systems, under Uniqueness View (UV) Trading & Contracting Company. The company’s mission is to provide clean, safe, and sustainable water solutions to homes, industries, and institutions in Oman. Under Fasalu’s leadership, UV Water Systems has grown into a multi-faceted organization offering residential and industrial water purification units, RO plants, ultra-pure water systems, water softeners, UV sterilizers, wastewater treatment systems, and filtration solutions. The company also includes IT and service divisions to provide comprehensive technical and operational support to clients.
UV Water Systems’ operational philosophy focuses on innovation, cost-efficiency, and customization. The company provides professional water tank cleaning and disinfection, sewage treatment, auto-irrigation solutions, pump and motor maintenance, and full filter servicing and AMC. The services cater to both domestic and commercial clients, ensuring water quality, hygiene, and efficiency.

An avid sports enthusiast, Fasalu enjoys fishing, both yachting and boating, combining precision, patience, and strategy, qualities mirrored in his professional approach. He is also a passionate advocate for proactive problem-solving and forward planning in both business and personal pursuits.
He is married to Ramziya Abdul Gafoor, a B.Tech. graduate and professional partner in a Thrissur-based firm. Their daughter, Ayisha Mehrinee, is a third-grade student.
