Dr. Joshi Babu is a distinguished entrepreneur, cybersecurity strategist, and technology leader, serving as the Executive Director of the PROMATAS Group of Companies. With decades of experience across information technology, cybersecurity, engineering, education, and industrial sectors, he has built and led a diversified business group with a strong regional presence across the GCC, Australia, and India.

Renowned for his strategic foresight and operational excellence, Dr. Joshi has successfully steered multiple ventures spanning Information Technology Services, Cybersecurity, Satellite Communication Technology, Higher Education Services, Digital Marketing, Professional Training, Architectural Hardware Manufacturing, Infrastructure Project Development, and Fasteners Manufacturing and Trading. A Dream That Was Born in Ambalappuzha

Dr. Joshi Babu hails from Ambalappuzha in Alappuzha district, Kerala, where he was born to Babu Abraham, a former employee of the Kerala Government, and Alice Babu, a homemaker. He earned his BSc in Mathematics and Computer Science from MG University and later completed his MBA in International Business in 2010. He also pursued an Advanced Postgraduate Diploma in Information Technology at the Amrita Institute of Computer Technology, Amritapuri, Karunagapally, Kollam.

He holds a Doctorate in Computer Science with specialization in Internet and System Security. Currently, he is pursuing his second PhD in Artificial Intelligence in Cybersecurity Governance, Risk, and Compliance at Banasthali Vidyapith University, Jaipur.

Dr. Joshi began his professional career with Wipro in Bangalore in 1998 as a Network Engineer, after obtaining several international certifications in IT systems and networking. He served there for two and a half years. Subsequently, he moved to Qatar, where he worked with Ras Gas as a Network Engineer until 2001. He later went on to establish the IT Division of Gulf Energy Technologies and Projects.

In 2002, he relocated to the Sultanate of Oman and founded Middle East Business Corporation, which he managed for two years. The following year, he established PROMATAS with just four employees.

In his personal life in Kerala, often referred to as “God’s Own Country,” Dr. Joshi is widely respected for his integrity, generosity, and compassionate nature. Among his extensive circle of friends and associates, he is regarded as a dependable and supportive individual—someone who consistently goes above and beyond to assist others. His commitment to social responsibility is reflected in his active involvement in charitable initiatives across multiple sectors, where he contributes selflessly to the welfare of those in need.

He is also well known for his exceptional hospitality and strong interpersonal skills, which have enabled him to cultivate and maintain meaningful relationships within political and business communities in India and across the GCC.

She serves as a Director at the Promatas Group while balancing her leadership responsibilities with a passion for academics, working as a Lecturer at the Modern College of Business and Science (MCBS) in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman. Committed to lifelong learning, Gigi is currently pursuing her Doctorate, in Cyber Security Maturity and AI adoption in Academic Institution.

Family remains central to their lives. The couple is blessed with two sons, Johan Joshi and Jonathan Joshi, both of whom are currently pursuing their education in Muscat.

Outside the boardroom, Dr. Joshi enjoys sports and other leisure activities. These interests reflect his enduring appreciation for teamwork, strategy, and healthy competition beyond the corporate arena.
