Sukumaran Nair

Life itself is a vision for Sukumaran Nair, who hails from Punalur in Kollam district, Kerala, and established his entrepreneurial career in Oman. With a humble beginning, typical of a middle-class upbringing, he was nurtured by his father, Janardhanan Pillai, who served in Kerala government service, and his mother, Bhargavi Amma, a homemaker. They inculcated in him the values of simplicity and humanity while encouraging him to take calculated risks to nurture his ambition of reaching newer heights.
Sukumaran Nair began his education in his hometown, completing his Pre-Degree before moving to Mumbai for further studies. In Mumbai, he earned a Bachelor’s Degree. Driven by the desire to excel, he pursued an MBA in Human Resources from Narsi Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai which proved to be a pivotal step in his career growth.
Following his studies, Sukumaran Nair started his career as an Office Administrator at M/s. International Combustion (India) Ltd in Mumbai, where he worked for almost six years. In 1985, he moved to Muscat, Oman, where he joined M/s. W.J.Towell & Co.LLC, and then moved to their associate Company, M/s.Oman United Agencies LLC and dedicated around 20 years of service with the Group. Alongside his professional career, he ventured into entrepreneurship by founding M/s.Al Junebi Enterprises in 2005, a business specializing in MEP work, establishing his independent career.
He later expanded his ventured by founding Modern Golden Lotus LLC(MGL), focusing on leasing out of Construction Equipment and allied sectors, including Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) services. As Managing Director, he leads the organization with a clear Vision and Mission, pioneering to provide solution in critical sector like Construction Industry in Oman.

Dedicated to community life
Sukumaran Nair is also very active in community services, currently heading Nair Family Unity, Muscat. NFU, Muscat is very active in providing community services to the less fortunate in the Indian diaspora, by reaching out to the people in dire needs. NFU is very active in organizing cultural events for inculcating our rich cultural traditions and values to the next generation, by organizing various cultural events like Onam, Vishu, Deepavali etc.
He is also involved in Indian Social Club (ISC), through Malayalam as well as Malwa Wings.
He is married to Bindu Nair, a homemaker, and they have two sons are Engineers by profession. His eldest son, Adarsh, holds an MBA from the Indian School of Business (ISB) and works with M/s. ITOCHU & Co LLC, Oman as Marketing Manager. He is married to Dr Devika Jaikrishnan and they are blessed with a 4 years old son, Niranj. His younger son, Amrit, earned his MBA from Symbiosis and is employed with M/s.Sumitomo Mitsui Finance Group, Inc in Mumbai, as Human Resources Manager.
Despite his busy schedule, Sukumaran Nair maintains a healthy work-life balance. He has a deep interest in travel, socializing, and table tennis. As the Managing Director of Modern Golden Lotus LLC, he is committed to providing high-quality construction equipment solutions. His vision has made the Company known for its focus on quality management, striving to deliver services that meet the highest standards and satisfy clients’ expectations.
